Tongue tied..oh so squeamish...
I miss my archives.
I want to browse them. But I dont know how to link them on the side anymore. My brain has emptied itself of important information like that and replaced it with spell damage numbers, and prices of tailoring materials for my Undead Warlock.
Yes.
I got sucked into World of Warcrack. Not as bad as some people..but I will admit to having...*counting* at least 12 toons. 2 of which I play with any regularity. But still.
Off to read my past insanity and giggle.
Hai.
Long time no see.
*waves*
House bought. School starts. And I have pink hair now.
That is all. For today.
Hallo thar.
Guess what?
We bought a house.
We sign the papers on Tuesday the 27th. We get the keys that afternoon.
We started this process in September, and the best part? Its a brand spanking new never been lived in before home. We watched it get built from the foundation up. We picked all the appliances, the blinds, the carpets, the tiles, the paint, the brick...
Its ALL OURS. Not built by someone else who got tired of it and sold it. Built FOR US. To OUR SPECIFICATIONS.
I'm a homeowner now.
Oh, yeah, and I got a bad ass job too.
A job that lets me work here, and pays well, and involves playing a global computer game.
Maybe the last 2 months of 2007 wont suck so bad.
Maybe 2008 will be great. We need it.

Yay for my swap buddy BostonBecca! She pegged it GREAT with colors and styles! These are my next sock project!
Ohhhh...

And you all can speculate what this is...
Oohh...its pretty.
I got some Malabrigo wool the other day. And it is quite possibly the softest, prettiest yarn I have had the pleasure of working with.
Mind you, just wound it into balls so far, I dont have the perfect project yet...but I will!
SIX days and counting for school to start!
Ive got to start thinking of ideas for my Surprise Theme Swap partner! I love yarn shopping, but I love shopping for other people even more! Yay!
I redid my office.
Seems that the big ugly orange chair in the bedroom needed to be moved to fit the puppy cage.
Fine.
But the only spot in the bedroom for the chair would be the spot where the DESK already was.
Fine again.
I move a big wooden trunk out of the office, grab a tape measure...(amazing, Im a knitter who CAN find a tape measure...will wonders never cease?) and determine that YES, the desk WILL fit in the spot where the box was. I slid the trunk into the hallway, to deal with later.
But where will I put the CD rack. With its massively heavy collection of CDs? Hhmmm. On top of the desk, I decide. But I must remove the calendar and bulletin board off the wall. Oh LOOK! Behind my board is my long lost "Eat Rice, Potatoes Make Your Butt BIG" bumper sticker.
I pull the desk out of the bedroom, wiggle the chair into the area recently vacated by the desk...hey, my black flip flop. Sorry kids, I really did think you hid it in the toybox.
The chair fits nicely. I rearrange the white noise fountain thing on the stool next to the dresser, and think...that looks nice. Then I trip over my yarn stash bin which was UNDER the desk I just moved OUT of here.
Crap. I slid the yarn stash box under the desk in the office, and then I realize...well SHIT...the sofa in here wont fold out anymore.
But the CD shelf looks good on top of the desk. And I have room to pay bills and write, and doodle...whatever I choose to do with all that extra free desk space. Well, after I put away all the shit I cleared off the computer desk to make it neater.
Who in the hell has FOUR bottles of lotion on the desk? Me, I guess. Oohhh...look...theres those camera batteries Ive been looking for.
Wait, what? More shit?
2 screws, a curtain rod holder thingy, a Trivial Pursuit pie piece, (green in case you were wondering), a single die, 2 lighters, a guitar pick, half a red crayon and some scraps of paper I assume I thought I must have needed to hide.
You know, my lava lamp will look good finally plugged in here. I should go get it out of the kitchen.
*trip*
Crap..that stupid trunk is in the hallway.
That sound you hear is me cursing my husband. And likely the crunch of my toe. Ouch.
Well hell, THAT can just sit there, against the wall till I decide what to do with it.
My printer needs a place to sit now..lucky me, I have a small table that will fit just fine inbetween the new desk and the wall. Cant shove the new desk all the way to the wall, and set it there, cause the drawers are on the left side. What moron did that, I wonder. Thats done now. Yay me.
Im tired.
And I still have the fan, a few books, and a pile of assorted cant throw away crap to deal with.
THAT is for another day.
I joined a Fantasy Football League yesterday. We'll see how that goes. Our league is using Yahoo autodraft, so I dont have to pick and choose, I do get to exclude players, and Ive already excluded Terrell Owens. Ha. Im so sick of hearing about him, I dont want him on my team.
It should be interesting.

This was my 31st birthday present. An Astros game! YAY! Living where we do, its all about the Rangers and the Cowboys,. Neither of which I like.
I do admit, when I saw that Texiera got traded to the Braves, I laughed my ass off. I remember some Rangers fan sitting behind me at the game braggin about how Tex was the best player...he rocked...
Bet you dont think that now.

Finished this last week...the book was finished at 2 AM the day I got it. Ha. Boo. No more Harry.
*sigh*
The bag is for the oldest.
Countdown commencing...
First day of school for ALL THREE KIDS is August 27th.
Ive got supplies to buy for THREE kids..although, I think Im going to hold off on the bigger things like kleenex, soaps, sanitizers, and stuff like that till the 2nd week probably. Cause My 1st grader has enough to take already..and my pre kindergartener is having a few nervous issues...
Oldest starts 6th grade, complete with boyfriend. Not entirely bad. I know the kid...hes cool. He mows my yard, and we are friends with his parents. Good bunch, they are.
Have to pick up the items she needs for band too. And Im pretty sure I cant count on *him* to help pay for anything. Hell, I should consider myself lucky that the child support went up by 23 bucks. Whoopedy doo.
Oh, yeah, and probably go find a job. How fun will THAT be, going to potential employers and informing them that I need to be home before 3 PM, and I havent been in the workforce since 2000.
Sure, Ive worked, but only through joint ventures with hubby. Not out on my own, at something not affiliated with newspapers.
*sigh*
The last job I had was restaurant management, and I sure as shit dont want to go back to that. It was so damn stressful, it nearly put me in the hospital. Laugh if you must. I was up at 4:30 AM every morning...and home around midnight every night. Except for Tuesdays. Cause that was the day that the owner worked so I could be off. When I took the postion of manager, there were 3 other managers..and within 2 weeks, there was only me.
UGH.
Talk about putting me off of work. I loved the place, I loved the job, but I hated it at the same time.
OK...I seriously need to go finish off other stuff thats on my list for the day.
